Job summary

Bethany Christian Services USA LLC in Illinois seeks a Family Psychotherapist to support foster care, adoption, and refugee services, rooted in a faith-based mission.

The role provides individual and group therapy using CPP/CBT, coordinates with case workers, maintains documentation, and stays current with regulatory standards while engaging families from diverse backgrounds. Strong licensure and bilingual English/Spanish preferred; 21+ with a valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Master’s level degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Active professional licensure in the state of practice.
• At least 1 year of experience providing individual and group therapy to survivors of abuse/trauma.
• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• 21+ years old with a valid driver's license and driving history in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling sessions using Child-Parent Psychotherapy and CBT.
• Coordinate outside professional consultations with DCFS case workers and partners.
• Facilitate CPP groups with referred families.
• Provide regular clinical reports detailing progress and goals.
• Receive, route, and manage calls professionally.
• Utilize information management systems per contract and agency policy.
• Attend trainings, staff meetings, and required events.
• Complete program-specific documentation timely and accurately.
• Stay informed on regulatory requirements related to Intact Families and CPP."
• Participate in Bethany-sponsored events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
