Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family within UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Medical Assistant to join a full-time Family Practice team in Middletown, CT. Responsibilities include patient care, phlebotomy, and accurate EHR documentation while coordinating tests and referrals.

The MA will support the care team, engage in a patient-centered workflow, and uphold safety and confidentiality standards in a busy primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy and EHR documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and clinical support under supervision.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed and document interactions in the EHR.
• Assist care team, prepare patients for visits, and coordinate tests and referrals.
• Respond to patient calls, document messages, and maintain accurate records.
