Job summary

Pueblo School District No 60 is hiring an ESS Special Education Generalist Teacher to support instruction and student development within the Special Education program. The role requires Colorado licensure and ESS endorsements, with collaboration across families, staff, and administrators to implement IEPs.

The position is based in the Teaching and Learning Services department, reports to the School Principal, and follows the Teacher Salary Schedule with fringe benefits per the negotiated

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Teaching License within 60 days from date of hire.
• Endorsement on applicable level of teaching (Elementary or Secondary).
• Highly qualified in ESS through specified endorsements or equivalent.
• 36 semester credit hours applicable to content area.
• Passing score on Praxis or equivalent exam.
• Eligible for Teacher in Residence or Alternative Licensing Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect instructional support in a positive environment.
• Develop IEPs with parents, administrators, and specialists to promote student growth.
• Deliver instruction using ESS strategies and individualized education plans.
• Maintain accurate student records and compliance with district regulations.
• Communicate progress with families and collaborate with school teams.
• Participate in departmental and school meetings and activities.
