Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Principal License.
• Master's Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Five years experience with students with disabilities in a public school.
• Two years administrative experience including evaluating certified staff.
• Must communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Establish programming for students with disabilities under federal/state law.
• Assist teachers in providing instruction for students in district programs.
• Serve as liaison between teachers, administrators, and community.
• Ensure compliance with laws relating to IEPs/504 plans.
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed.
• Oversee IEP/504 processes to ensure alignment with laws and district protocols.
• Maintain tracking systems for IEPs, services, and timelines.
• Coordinate staff development and budget planning for ESS.
• Advocate for special education within school leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
