Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
  • Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request.
  • Diagnose learning challenges and maintain IEP/504 records as required.
  • Provide an instructional program to meet needs of all students, including those with disabilities or limited English proficiency.
  • Attend PLCs and staff meetings for planning and data analysis.
  • Establish classroom objectives aligned with district goals and communicate them to students.
