Job summary

Gigaenergy is seeking a Technical Quotation Engineer based in Houston, Texas. This role involves generating detailed commercial and technical proposals for UL891 Switchboards, Padmount Transformers, and Substations. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 1-5 years of experience in estimating or inside sales within the electrical industry.

Full-time onsite expectations are required with some flexibility for exceptional candidates outside of the hub. The role includes substantial responsibility in quote generation, BOM development, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in estimating, quoting, or inside sales within the electrical or power distribution industry.
• Foundational understanding of electrical distribution equipment (Switchgear, Transformers, and Substations).
• Exceptional accuracy in data entry and a 'measure twice, cut once' mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed, line-item quotations for UL891 Switchboards, Padmount Transformers, and Substations.
• Create preliminary Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on equipment configurations.
• Interface with vendors to obtain current pricing and lead times.
