Job summary

Gigaenergy is seeking a Project Engineer based in Houston, Texas to lead the electrical infrastructure projects. Your role will involve translating customer and utility requirements into site plans while ensuring performance and safety goals are met. Candidates must have strong electrical design skills and enjoy problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

The ideal applicant will have over 5 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. The company offers robust benefits including health insurance, equity options, and unlimited PTO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience as utility engineer or large load developer.
• Strong electrical design competency with experience in medium-voltage distribution systems and substation design.
• Proficiency in Autodesk drafting tools and ability to produce and iterate on site plans.

Responsibilities

• Draft and iterate on site plans and electrical plans for customer projects using Autodesk.
• Collaborate with utilities, engineers, suppliers, and electrical contractors to finalize design requirements.
• Support the development of medium-voltage and low voltage component specifications.
