Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools is seeking an English Language Arts Teacher for a long-term substitute at Irondale High School. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with ASAP start through late January 2027 and daily pay between $240 and $293.

The ideal candidate holds a current Minnesota teaching license for English grades 5-12 (or 7-12/9-12) and can employ culturally responsive teaching, strong communication, and varied instructional strategies to support student learning.

Qualifications

• Current MN teaching license in English for grades 5-12, 7-12 or 9-12.
• Ability to use culturally responsive teaching methods.
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of curriculum design and instructional planning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to determine standardized curriculum and testing designs.
• Create instructional objectives and activities aligned to standards.
• Deliver classroom instruction and provide targeted student support.
• Assess student performance and adjust instruction as needed.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with parents and staff.
