Job summary

Monticello High School is seeking a licensed EL teacher to provide full-time direct service for secondary multilingual learners. This is a long-term substitute position at the high school level, aligned with district standards and curricular expectations.

The candidate should hold a Minnesota secondary teaching license, with EL licensure preferred, and demonstrate familiarity with state standards and CLR-informed pedagogies to support diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• Current secondary teaching license for the State of Minnesota.
• EL License preferred.
• Understanding of the Minnesota Academic Standards for content area.
• Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district.
• Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning.
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families.
• Experience working with diverse students and families - experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred.
