Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and present instruction and instructional environments to help students learn subject matter and skills.
• Coordinate and direct the activities of teacher assistants when applicable.
• Manage instructional time to start lessons promptly and keep students on task.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules to guide student behavior and transitions.
• Present lessons clearly with relevant examples and demonstrations and ensure tasks are understood.
• Provide timely feedback on in-class and out-of-class work to support student growth.
• Use diagnostic information to align objectives, learning strategies, and assessments with student needs.
• Interact fairly and effectively with students, coworkers, parents and the community.
• Fulfill non-instructional duties as assigned and comply with laws, policies, and regulations.
