Job summary

Bourne Public Schools at Bourne Middle School is seeking Educational Support Personnel (ESP) for a 1.0 FTE position to support a student with an IEP/504 plan. The ESP will implement the student’s education plan, provide accommodations, assist with academic tasks, monitor progress, collect data, and support behavior and social-emotional goals under the direction of school staff.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Experience with students in both special education and/or regular education preferred.
• College level courses in education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing the student’s IEP/504 plan and providing accommodations and modifications as directed.
• Implements individualized behavior and social-emotional plans including data collection.
• Provides academic support, small group instruction, and assists with record-keeping and data collection.
• Supervises students on field trips and during school activities and helps maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Collaborates with teachers on academic, social, behavioral, and physical needs and ensures confidentiality.
