Job summary

The Public Schools of Northborough-Southborough is seeking an Educational Support Professional (ESP) at Trottier Middle School to provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities under the student support services team. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or higher.

The ESP will work in classrooms and various supports, collaborate with general education staff, monitor progress, and participate in weekly data-review meetings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher, or taking and passing a formal assessment measuring knowledge to assist teachers in reading, writing, and math.
• Ability to implement instructional and behavioral methods appropriate for students with disabilities.
• Experience with supporting IEP goals and working with special education staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver designed instruction to students with disabilities under supervision.
• Provide instruction in or out of the classroom in individual or small-group settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and SPSS team to implement accommodations and curriculum.
• Monitor student progress and report weekly updates to the SPSS team.
• Participate in weekly SPSS team meetings for data and program updates.
• Implement daily lessons per IEP and behavioral plans.
• Assist in data collection to support IEP goals and prepare instructional materials.
• Attend to routines and ensure consistent programming.
• May include tasks such as toileting, transportation support, and accompanying to specials.
