Job summary

Qualifications include high school diploma, 1 year in healthcare or related field, and peer-support certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in Social Services, Behavioral Health, Public Health, or related field.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Behavioral Health, Public Health, or related field.
• Work Experience: 1 year in healthcare, behavioral health, or related field.
• Experience with homeless populations, crisis or case management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bedside engagement of ED patients with substance use concerns.
• Establish rapport with patients, including in crisis.
• Perform SBIRT activities.
• Educate patients and families on SUD and treatment options.
• Facilitate referrals to MAT and recovery services.
• Coordinate with ED clinicians and social work teams.
• Document interactions and referrals in the EHR.
• Support follow-up outreach to ensure continuity of care.
