Job summary

SELF is seeking an experienced ECEAP Lead Teacher for a full-time, non-exempt role in Battle Ground, WA. The position involves creating a safe learning environment for 3–5 year olds, implementing a standards-based curriculum, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with families and staff to support children’s development and maintain program documentation. The role reports to the Center Director and offers competitive benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA or higher with 20 ECE credits or Washington State ECE Certificate.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, engaging education for 3–5 year olds in ECEAP.
• Follow age-appropriate curriculum and DCYF licensing standards.
• Foster parental involvement and collaborate with staff.
• Supervise classroom and delegate tasks to staff.
