Job summary

Rainbows United, Inc. seeks an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to serve young children with developmental disabilities in home and community settings (ages 0-3).

The role requires a genuine interest in working with children and their families. You will collaborate with families and professionals, develop and implement treatment plans, participate in the IFSP/IEP team, and maintain required records while conducting developmental assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education is required.
• Certification in ECH, ECD, ECSE or ECU is required.
• Prior experience with children with special needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements effective treatment plans in coordination with other team members.
• Participates in the IFSP/IEP Team.
• Works with the transdisciplinary team to achieve educational and developmental goals of the child.
• Maintains records as required.
• Conducts developmental assessments.
• Completes required tasks in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in person.
• Ability to determine and identify items and children in the periphery, near, and far visual fields.
