Job summary

Rainbow Kids Learning Center seeks nurturing Infant and Toddler teachers to meet our students' basic and educational needs. You will prepare and deliver classroom activities, communicate with staff and parents, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

You are expected to be a positive role model for our students. Applicants should hold MA EEC Teaching Certification, be able to lift up to 70 pounds, and be available evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• MA EEC Teaching Certification is a MUST and a degree in Early Childhood Ed. would be preferred.
• Clear criminal record.
• Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Warm, approachable disposition.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work during evenings and on weekends, as required.
• The ability to work between 7:30 AM and 5 PM Monday - Friday is a MUST working either 7:30-4:30, 8-5:00, or 10-5:00.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.
• Tending to students' basic needs by feeding and dressing them with assistance when needed.
• Mediating conflict between students.
• Modeling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty.
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times.
• Liaising with families to gain insight into students' home lives.
• Tracking and informing parents of students' progress.
• Attending parent/teacher conferences, monthly mandatory staff meetings, and at our family engagement events.
