Job summary
Ampact is seeking an Early Learning Tutor with AmeriCorps for a pre-kindergarten setting to deliver proven activities and coach students toward stronger literacy and numeracy. You’ll partner with a teacher to enhance learning through talking, reading, writing, singing, and play.
Responsibilities include tracking progress, assessments, and collaboration with an onsite coach. English fluency, HS diploma, and background check are required; part-time options exist and full-time AmeriCorps benefits
Qualifications
- Dependable with good attendance and reliable
- Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback
- Proficient with basic email and online navigation
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- 18 years or older with a HS diploma or equivalent
- US citizenship, national, or lawful permanent resident
- Able to complete a background check
Responsibilities
- Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive
- Support preschoolers with learning activities daily
- Track student progress and meet with onsite coach
- Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into software
- Engage in coaching and training for personal growth
- Share experience with the community
