Job summary

Breakthrough Central Texas is seeking a Student Advisor for the Early High School program on a temporary basis. You will provide high-quality academic advising and college-readiness support to 9th and 10th graders, including career education and family outreach.

Work will include coordinating interventions, maintaining records in Salesforce, and participating in team meetings. The role emphasizes a strong commitment to equity and student success in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to in-person and virtual advising formats.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high-quality academic advising and mentoring to a caseload of 45-60 students.
• Help students develop study skills, time management, goal setting, and self-advocacy.
• Maintain regular contact with guardians/families and track progress.
• Coordinate academic and non-academic interventions with the supervisor.
• Attend weekly team meetings and participate in 1:1 progress check-ins.
