Job summary

Bon Secours seeks an Early Head Start Teacher to contribute to planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate educational program serving infants, toddlers and preschoolers in our center-based services.

You will assess development, plan individualized curricula, and support inclusion for children with special needs while ensuring health, safety and documentation of progress. Collaboration with leadership and timely reporting are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of progressive, related experience is required.
• Microsoft Word and Outlook software required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses development of children and sets goals for their development; plans individualized curriculum.
• Coaches and guides inclusion of children with special needs in regular activities.
• Oversees health, safety and well-being of all center-based children.
• Documents children’s growth using observations, samples and assessments in print and online systems.
• Reports to the Child Development Specialist, Lead Teacher or leadership team.
