Job summary

The El Dorado County Office of Education is seeking a part-time Classroom Assistant I for our Child Development Program in South Lake Tahoe. You will assist in learning, recreation, and personal care activities for children aged 3 to 5 under teacher supervision.

Required is a High School diploma or equivalent with prior experience; bilingual Spanish–English is encouraged and a stipend is available after proficiency testing. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Qualifications

• Prior successful experience interacting with children and adults.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual/Spanish-English speaking candidates are encouraged to apply; bilingual stipend available after proficiency exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out learning, recreation, and personal care activities for children ages 3, 4, or 5 years old.
• Follow state, federal, and County Office of Education guidelines.
