Job summary

Firstday-Foundation is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to develop e-learning content for education programs. You will design curriculum, create engaging modules, and ensure alignment with grants and regulatory standards across TX, LA, and AL.

The role requires ADDIE/SAM experience, proficiency with Articulate 360, Captivate, and LMS platforms, plus strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum development, or related field.
• Proven experience as an instructional designer in education or non-profit settings.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum design principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience with e-learning authoring tools and LMS platforms.
• Experience using ADDIE, SAM, or Agile methodologies.
• Ability to create engaging multimedia learning experiences.
• Familiarity with SCORM and other e-learning standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive instructional materials, including tutorials, job aids, assessments, and online courses.
• Apply ADDIE/SAM to create structured, learner-centered content.
• Create engaging multimedia learning experiences with videos, graphics, and interactivity.
• Implement and maintain standards for online course development and delivery; conduct QA reviews.
• Coordinate with LMS administrator to keep content up-to-date and accessible.
• Maintain version control and content organization systems.
• Ensure e-learning content accessibility and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver training sessions on e-learning best practices.
