Job summary

Catholic Charities Disabilities Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals in daily care, administer medications per policy, and promote independence. The role emphasizes respect for personal choices and dignity, with training provided, including SCIP CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration within 90 days.

Shifts include full-time, part-time, morning, evening, and overnight, with a nightly differential for weekend hours; benefits and 23 days of time off are

Qualifications

• Consent to a full criminal background check and fingerprinting.
• Training requirements include 4 days of Orientation, SCIP CPR/First Aid, and Medication Administration Certification, completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assisting, providing and promoting independence in individuals’ daily treatment, care and services.
• Administering medications accurately and in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
• Maintaining knowledge of the population served and their health and emotional needs.
• Respecting the individual’s choices, lifestyles and dignity to make their own decisions.
