Job summary

Burton Center is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Day Program team in Saluda, SC. The schedule is 7:00am–4:15pm, 40 hours per week, in a first-shift role focused on adults with disabilities.

You will deliver person-centered support, implement training programs, encourage independence and community engagement, and provide direct care including self-help, toileting, and personal hygiene.

Qualifications

• SC Driver's License is required.
• Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Adaptable, a team player, and advocate for others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care with self-help skills and personal hygiene.
• Implement effective training programs and encourage independence and community engagement.
• Carry out duties including toileting, medication administration, feeding assistance, and individualized care.
• Follow curricula, behavioral support plans, and participate in outings and activities.
• Operate wheelchair lifts, drive Burton Center vehicles, and complete progress reports in Therap.
