Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to perform radiologic procedures and ensure accurate patient identification, imaging quality, and documentation. The role requires ARRT registration or eligibility, BLS, and 1 year of RT experience is preferred.

You will position patients, operate equipment safely, provide patient education, and may assist as In-Charge Technologist when needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal Radiologic Technology training
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible with 6 months to obtain
• BLS certification required
• One year of RT experience preferred
• Ability to work with EPIC and PACS systems

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures per protocol
• Verify patient ID, exam tags, and annotation on radiographs
• Ensure orders and charges are correct and properly documented
• Educate patients about examinations and procedures
• Position patients and operate radiology equipment safely
• Assist with in-charge duties as needed and participate in staffing
• Maintain room cleanliness and proper restocking
• Complete required continuing education and attend staff meetings
