Job summary

Misericordia Heart of Mercy in Chicago, IL is hiring Developmental Training Instructors to design lesson plans, set goals, and build relationships with community partners, helping residents live active, meaningful lives with as much independence as possible.

DTIs collaborate with residents and volunteers, ensure residents' rights, complete four weeks of training, and participate in Misericordia's committed, supportive team and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of one year of experience with persons with intellectual disabilities.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
• Ability to interact with community members and volunteers with ease and confidence.
• Ability to organize, manage resources, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Ability to meet DT essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans, goals, and objectives.
• Create and maintain relationships with community partners.
