Job summary

BELOVED COMMUNITY FAMILY WELLNESS CENTER is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and dental hygienists in providing primary care dental services. Responsibilities include sterilization, charting, scheduling, and assisting with exams, with emphasis on infection control and patient care.

The role also involves receptionist duties and inventory management. Under the Dental Director's supervision, you will prepare operatory spaces, process x-rays, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Two-year experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.
• CPR certification and dental terminology proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and answer phones; schedule appointments.
• Assist dentist and hygienist during procedures; sterilize instruments.
• Charting, treatment planning, and dental billing records management.
• Prepare operatory and expose/develop dental radiographs as directed.
• Maintain inventory and communicate with suppliers; manage office duties.
• Document in EMR and coordinate referrals to other services.
• Support reception duties and ensure infection control compliance.
