Job summary

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas Inc is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the Dentist and Dental Hygienist, manage sterilization, prepare instruments, and assist in patient care. You will maintain charting in the electronic health record, ensure a sterile environment, and participate in outreach activities as needed.

Strong communication and confidentiality are essential per HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification required or obtained within nine months from hire date.
• BLS certification required on hire or within six months from hire date.
• Graduate from a Dental Assisting Program preferred.
• Certified Dental Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentist and Dental Hygienist in primary dental care.
• Sterilize, prepare and inventory dental instruments and supplies.
• Maintain patient health history and charting in the electronic record.
• Uphold confidentiality per HIPAA and CHC/SEK policies.
• Support outreach activities as assigned.
