Job summary

River Bend Food Bank in Galesburg, IL seeks a Driver & Warehouse Associate to operate a commercial vehicle, pick up and deliver product within the RBFB service area, and perform warehouse duties. The role requires safely handling loads with a forklift, inspecting donations, and maintaining accurate paperwork.

Responsibilities include providing excellent donor and partner agency service, following safety policies, and ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained and compliant with DOT/FMCSA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with insurability to operate organization vehicles.
• Forklift experience preferred and ability to obtain ServSafe certification.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a commercial vehicle between RBFB warehouse and partner sites.
• Loads/unloads using forklift or pallet jack.
• Inspects donated products for safety and sanitation.
• Assists with order picking, packing, labeling, and related paperwork.
• Provides exceptional donor and partner agency service.
• Maintains safety standards and completes required inspections and maintenance.
