Job summary

River Bend Food Bank in Galesburg, IL is seeking a Driver & Warehouse Associate to operate commercial vehicles and perform warehouse duties. The role involves loading/unloading, safety inspections, and timely documentation to support donor services and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with compatible work history.
• Valid commercial driver’s license and insurability for vehicle use.
• Forklift and warehousing experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain ServSafe certification.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle between RBFB warehouse and partner sites.
• Load/unload goods using forklift or pallet jack as needed.
• Inspect donated products for safety and sanitation before transport.
• Assist with order fulfillment and related paperwork.
• Provide excellent donor and partner agency service and information.
• Follow safety policies and report concerns to management.
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and DOT/FMCSA compliance.
• Record mileage/fuel and ensure vehicle maintenance schedules are met.
• Support mission and potentially work evenings or Saturdays.
