Job summary

The CARE Center of New Jersey is seeking a Facilities & Delivery Associate to keep operations smooth and programs running. You’ll support food distribution, vehicle and facility maintenance, and event setup in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Your role helps ensure families receive essential resources safely and respectfully, with opportunities to grow your skills in logistics, maintenance, and teamwork within a compassionate community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in delivery, logistics, facilities, or a related field.
• Ability to safely lift and move 50–75 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, and distribute food and supplies that families depend on, ensuring proper storage, stock rotation, and quality control.
• Plan routes, coordinate schedules, track shipments, and manage delivery documentation while safely loading, transporting, and unloading goods.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance, keep logs, and report issues promptly for safe transportation."
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs (including painting, minor fixes, and upkeep), clean and sanitize common areas and restrooms, and support seasonal needs such as landscaping and snow removal.
• Set up and break down spaces for events and special projects, ensuring facilities are functional, safe, and ready to serve.
• Monitor inventory levels, receive donations, maintain organized storage areas, and track supplies using inventory systems.
• Partner with staff, vendors, and contractors to address maintenance needs, schedule repairs, and resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and assist with scheduling maintenance and coordinating logistics.
• Respond to requests and resolve concerns from staff, volunteers, and community members with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset.
