Job summary

Castelion is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer to design and deliver production-ready control systems for SRM manufacturing equipment. You will lead automation architecture development, vendor interactions, and safety compliance, with hands-on involvement in commissioning and qualification.

The role requires integrating vision, sensors, data acquisition, and real-time monitoring to drive process improvements, yield, and predictive maintenance across production lines.

Qualifications

• Design and program full control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) for SRM manufacturing equipment.
• Develop motion control, servo, and robotics architectures for precision propellant loading.
• Implement safety instrumented systems (SIS) and hazardous area controls.
• Integrate machine vision, sensors, data acquisition, and SPC.
• Lead equipment commissioning, FAT/SAT, debugging, and qualification.
• Build data historian and analytics interfaces for traceability and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design and program production ready control systems for SRM equipment.
• Develop automation architectures and select suitable vendors.
• Oversee safety compliance and hazardous area controls.
• Integrate sensors, vision systems, and data acquisition.
• Lead FAT/SAT, debugging, and production qualification.
• Collaborate to translate manufacturing needs into maintainable automation.
