Job summary

Athelas Institute in Maryland is seeking an Assistant Director of Day Services to oversee case management for individuals in day and employment programs, coordinate with community resources, and ensure compliance with DDA and DORS policies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field and at least 2 years’ experience with individuals with disabilities; associates degree with strong experience will be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field with 2+ years’ disability services experience.
• Associates Degree considered with substantial professional experience.
• Experience with DOA core competencies, Mandt Systems, CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Knowledge of ODA and public benefit systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides case management services to individuals receiving day or employment services.
• Coordinates with community resources and public benefits.
• Assists individuals in becoming eligible for public benefits and other resources.
• Maintains files and records for the people we support.
• Coordinates and facilitates Person Centered Planning meetings.
• Adheres to timelines for the Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
• Prepares social service summaries and reviews medical assessments.
• Advocates for people we support and safeguards their legal rights.
• Intervenes in daily crisis situations and coordinates transportation.
• Onsite presence required; regular remote work not available.
