Community Options, Inc. in Lancaster, PA, is seeking a Day and Employment Program Manager to lead vocational programs and secure employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

The role combines program development with fiscal oversight to meet financial goals and coordinates with other programs to meet individual employment goals. The ideal candidate will have a related degree or equivalent experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to train staff and

Qualifications

• BA or BS in related field with one-year experience working with people with disabilities in an integrated employment setting; or high school diploma or equivalent with three years’ experience working with people with disabilities in an integrated employment setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to impart knowledge to others in required curriculum
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple participants and tasks effectively

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate community-based vocational and employment programs
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide direct support to employment specialists
• Oversee development of employment and volunteer opportunities for people with disabilities
• Coordinate entrepreneurial ventures involving persons with disabilities
• Handle contract disbursements for community-based programs
• Assist with contract procurement as required
• Build relationships with community business leaders to expand opportunities
• Ensure regulatory compliance with wage/hour rules and other agencies
