Job summary

Progressive Rehab Solutions is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to assist the supervising Occupational Therapist in delivering rehabilitative services in long-term care and related settings.

The role focuses on implementing treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence, while communicating patient progress and ensuring accurate documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• One year of experience in OT/rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist for individual or group therapy.
• Assist patients to improve mobility, strength, balance, and endurance.
• Provide gait, transfer, and therapeutic exercise training.
• Assist with use of assistive devices (walkers, canes, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and safety.
