Job summary

Moraga Post Acute is actively hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a Part-Time/PRN basis. You will work with the interdisciplinary team to deliver resident-centered therapy and promote independence.

The ideal candidate has a current COTA certification, state licensure, and experience in post-acute care. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential to provide safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current COTA certification and applicable state licensure/registration.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with activities designed to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents’ needs and goals.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and timely.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate observations to the Occupational Therapist and care team.
• Provide education and support to residents and caregivers as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents.
