Job summary

NaphCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Pueblo, Colorado, providing care to individuals housed at the Pueblo County Detention Center. This role works with correctional officers and medical staff in a controlled environment to deliver comprehensive nursing services.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Active state-certified LPN/LVN license.
• Active BLS CPR certification required.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and adhere to a Code of Conduct.
• Passing a criminal background check and drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and interview patients about health problems and medication history.
• Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature and weight.
• Provide wound care, cleaning and bandaging as needed.
• Administer medications, including injections and monitor reactions.
• Maintain medical records in the electronic health record (TechCare).
• Observe patient and mental health status.
• Provide emergency first aid and discharge/release planning.
• Educate patients and assist with discharge planning.
