Job summary

NaphCare is seeking an experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LCMHC, etc.) to join our team at Forsyth County Jail, Winston-Salem, NC. This is a part-time role, 16 hours weekly over two 8-hour weekend day shifts, offering an opportunity to provide essential mental health care in a correctional setting.

The role involves assessments, documentation, and counseling for residents with mental health and co-occurring disorders, in a secure environment with interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's prepared mental health professional with active licensure in NC.
• Active BLS CPR certification.
• Minimum 3 years' clinical experience; correctional healthcare preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Knowledge of DSM-V criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents with mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling and education for staff and inmates.
• Maintain compliance with ACA and NCCHC standards.
• Collaborate with medical and correctional teams to ensure safe, quality care.
