Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. seeks an experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT/LMHP, etc.) to join our team at the Forsyth County Jail in Winston-Salem, NC.

The role involves providing counseling and mental health care to residents in a controlled setting, with collaboration among correctional staff and medical professionals. Required credentials include active NC licenses and a minimum of 3 years of mental health experience; BLS CPR certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Active NC licensure as LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT/LMHP/LISW
• Active BLS CPR certification (American Heart Association)
• Pass facility background check and drug screening
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in mental health; correctional healthcare preferred
• Knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR criteria
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional conduct
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a correctional setting with security considerations

Responsibilities

• Perform mental health evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans
• Document progress notes and treatment plans; prepare reports
• Provide individual and group counseling and educational programs
• Coordinate with correctional officers and healthcare staff
• Monitor compliance with ACA and NCCHC standards
