Job summary

State of Indiana in Pendleton is seeking a Correctional Caseworker to coordinate case management, help incarcerated individuals access programs, create case plans, and assist in preparing for release and re-entry. You will work with staff to address re-entry issues, document progress, and liaison with employers, courts, and government agencies.

A High School Diploma or HSE and 1+ year in social work or related field may be considered.

Qualifications

• Ability to coordinate case management and develop case plans.
• Knowledge of Indiana Risk Assessment System (IRAS) procedures.
• Experience in social work, corrections, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate case management and facilitate access to programs and services.
• Create individualized case plans addressing risk and needs.
• Document offender progress and program participation.
• Coordinate re-entry and release issues with staff.
• Liaise with employers, courts, community, and agencies for job development.
• Prepare documentation for absences, progress reports, and referrals.
• Conduct unit orientation for new arrivals.
