Job summary

Shadow Habitat is seeking a Digital Media Lead contractor to manage its social media presence, grow community engagement, and support fundraising initiatives. The role requires creative content skills, analytics, and coordination with staff and board.

You will publish posts, develop campaigns, and produce monthly newsletters while capturing events and ecosystem activities. The contractor works independently, aligning with SHADOW’s mission and voice.

Qualifications

• Experience in social media content strategy, trends and analytics.
• Ability to adapt voice for conservation and nonprofit audiences.
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms and donor engagement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Publish 3–5 feed posts per week and 5+ stories across platforms.
• Create content about conservation, SHADOW events, donor campaigns, and programs.
• Coordinate content calendar with staff and board.
• Engage with community through comments, shares, and partnerships.
• Plan and execute paid promotions within budgets.
• Edit and publish monthly newsletters and post to the website.
• Develop collateral for events and outreach; attend meetings/events as needed.
