Job summary

Easterseals-Midwest in Saint Louis, MO is hiring a full-time Community Services Specialist to provide direct support and mentoring to clients, addressing physical, health and behavioral needs per each client’s personal plan in group or one-on-one settings.

You will help ensure safety and well-being, support daily programming, and work toward individual goals, with pay ranging from $20.00 to $22.50 per hour, plus yearly raise opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; College credit in human service or related field preferred.
• 1 year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities with behavior disorders and active, involved behavioral support plans preferred.
• Valid Missouri driver’s license or comparable out of state license, current vehicle insurance, and safe driving record.
• Must have basic math skills; legible handwriting and professional grammar.
• Must be available to work weekdays; attend staff meetings after program hours; requires Advanced Mandt and Tools of Choice training; maintains current certifications on Annual Recertification, autism-specific training, and other trainings as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, quality programming and address the physical, health and behavioral needs of clients.
• Provide direct support and mentoring, actively engaging with clients in programming per personal plan, in group settings or alone.
• Ensure clients are safe and healthy and provide direct care according to a daily schedule.
• Support given will follow specific goals and objectives of each client.
