Job summary

CECC is seeking a Communications/Development Coordinator to lead fundraising campaigns, manage donor relations, and promote CECC to the community. You will coordinate communications, enrollment efforts, and events in partnership with the Executive Director, staff, and Board.

The role requires flexibility, occasional evenings and weekends, and supervision of volunteers and special events. A strong background in communications or nonprofit development is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, education, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities independently
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan, including trivia night/auction, with input from ED and Board
• Maintain and strengthen donor relationships and corporate contacts, and identify potential donors
• Identify and facilitate grant applications
• Coordinate fundraising activities and oversee related record keeping, including donor recognition
• Produce a monthly newsletter and weekly classroom updates in coordination with lead teachers
• Produce community-wide communications and maintain website content
• Create classroom yearbooks and other mementos; supervise events
• Promote CECC's mission and recruit new families; engage volunteers
• Manage marketing and communications budget with oversight from ED & Board
• Assist enrollment process: answering questions, applications, waitlist, intake, and enrollment forms
• Maintain filing system for student records
