Job summary

Critical Exposure (CE) is seeking a full-time Communications Coordinator in Washington, DC to share CE’s mission through digital platforms, print collateral, and events. The role works with CE youth and staff to collect stories and photos to support communications with stakeholders, including funders and partner organizations.

The candidate should have 2-3 years in communications/outreach and project coordination, with a passion for social justice and nonprofit operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Experience with nonprofit communications and outreach
• Comfort engaging diverse stakeholders including youth, funders, vendors
• Experience with CRM systems and data management

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communications and logistics for CE’s two major annual events
• Manage logistics for 6-8 traveling and permanent exhibits annually
• Assist with fundraising communications and donor acknowledgments
• Use donor database (EveryAction) to process gifts and produce reports
• Maintain CE story bank and digital presence (social media/website)
• Develop relationships with partner vendors and local businesses
• Engage youth in organizational communications and strategy
• Support youth campaign working group(s) with communications techniques
