Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist to join our team. The CLS-G collaborates with the laboratory leadership and pathologists to deliver high-quality laboratory services for all ages, from infants to geriatric patients.

The role involves performing complex tests, operating equipment, ensuring sample integrity, and supporting workflow efficiency. Licensing and MT program education are required, with opportunities for professional development and inspections support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or a degree from a Medical Technology Program.
• LSBME Licensed as Clinical Lab Scientist, CLS-G or CLS-S

Responsibilities

• Performs high complexity procedures across clinical laboratory areas with independent judgement.
• Operates all laboratory equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensures specimens are properly identified and suitable for accurate results.
• Handles routine and stat specimens to meet turnaround times.
• Assists with phlebotomy, specimen accessioning, and customer inquiries.
• Maintains inventory levels and participates in annual inventory.
• Prepares drafts for new procedures and policies.
• Assists with certification inspections (CAP, JCAH, etc.).
• Willing to be trained as LCDM and may take calls in the absence of directors.

Education
