Job summary

Ohio State University’s Center for Clinical Research Management is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate daily clinical research activities for the Critical Care Trials Group. You will identify eligible patients, recruit and consent participants, and ensure compliance with all IRB, FDA and sponsor requirements.

The role involves scheduling, data collection, regulatory documentation, and collaboration with the Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Internal Medicine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Background check and pre-employment screening may be required.
• On-site role with possible evening/weekend/on-call hours.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities per approved protocols.
• Identify eligible patients, recruit, interview and enroll with informed consent.
• Educate patients and families about study purpose and processes.
• Schedule and coordinate patient care appointments, procedures, and testing according to protocol.
• Assist with data extraction, coding and analysis of clinical research data and report generation.
