Job summary

University of Nebraska College of Law seeks an Assistant Paralegal to support multiple in-house clinics, provide case and clerical assistance, and assist clinical faculty and student attorneys in a confidential environment.

You will work closely with supervising attorneys, students, clients, and community partners while supporting the educational mission of the Clinical Law Programs in a full-time role located at UNL.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree plus three years of professional office/secretarial experience; substitutions allowed year-for-year.
• Demonstrated competency in email, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software programs.
• Excellent organizational, detail orientation, proofreading, editing, grammar, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take initiative, work under minimal supervision, and learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide case, legal clerical, and administrative support for Clinical Law Programs.
• Assist supervising attorneys, faculty, and student attorneys with clinics and clients.
• Maintain confidentiality and support educational mission in a clinical teaching environment.
