Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is seeking a Clinic Director support role to assist in day-to-day administration and coordination of the clinic and departments. The position ensures regulatory compliance, opens/closes clinics on time, and coordinates staffing, scheduling and training.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff coaching, and continuous improvement of patient flow, with opportunities for career development within a large, community-focused health system.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field or RN required.
• Masters degree with 1 year of managerial experience is preferred.
• Travel between sites and valid California driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clinic Director with screening potential candidates for positions within the clinic.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (JCAHO, CLIA, DHS – Licensing & Certification, OSHA).
• Open and close clinic on time; manage daily schedules and clerical duties.
• Provide supervision and coaching to staff; deliver performance feedback and disciplinary action as needed.
• Improve patient flow and clinic operations; identify bottlenecks and support providers’ time with patients.
