Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Continuous Improvement Business Analyst to identify and implement efficiency enhancements across the organization. The role focuses on reducing redundancies, optimizing operations, and improving profitability while delivering excellent service to stakeholders.

The candidate will develop predictive models, use tools like Oracle BIP, Toad, RapidMiner, Python, and data visualization platforms, and collaborate with multiple departments to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a recommended minimum of 4 years relevant work experience or 7 years without a degree.
• Experience in process improvement, optimization, financial management, and change management.
• Proficient analytical and quantitative skills with ability to identify challenges and provide solutions.
• Ability to gather and analyze information and present recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and work with the business unit on process improvement, waste reduction, and cost optimization.
• Conduct detailed analysis of current processes using process mapping, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and data analysis.
• Gather and analyze data including performance metrics and KPIs to quantify inefficiencies and track improvements.
• Lead and participate in workshops and initiatives to drive process enhancements and engage teams.
• Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for improvement initiatives.
• Establish metrics to track progress and report savings and outcomes to senior leadership.
• Apply controls to ensure optimized processes are maintained by teams.
• Remain updated on industry trends and best practices in tools and methodologies.
• Evaluate improvement projects based on financial impact and ROI, prioritizing high-value work.
• Develop models and reports using Oracle BIP, Toad, RapidMiner, Python and visualization tools.
