Job summary

The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is hiring for Case Manager/Child Safety Specialist to partner with families and communities across Mesa, East Mesa, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and Gold Canyon. The role centers on responding to allegations, conducting interviews, assessing safety, coordinating services, and supporting placements.

On-site 40 hours/week with potential extended hours. Training is provided, and step pay increases follow successful milestones within the DCS Specialist

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or 4 years as an Arizona Department of Child Safety Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered.
• Complete 22 weeks of in-person classroom and field training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in homes and the community.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs.
• Manage cases across assigned region.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
