Job summary

Shenandoah University is looking for a Financial Aid Counselor to provide comprehensive financial aid counseling to students on the main campus in Winchester, Virginia. This full-time role includes responsibilities such as reviewing financial aid applications, counseling students on processes, and administering federal and state aid programs.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to equitable service for a diverse student population. Knowledge of Title IV regulations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; experience in financial aid, student services, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and families on financial aid processes.
• Review and process financial aid applications and ISIRs.
• Administer federal and state aid programs including Pell Grants.
